Hu Kou 虎口

专业的厨师习惯于将食物放在自己的虎口进行品尝,虎口能最精准地感觉到食物的温度;客人享用食物时候,也将刀叉或酒杯包裹于虎口之中。因此虎口成为餐食事件中最重要的部分。

我们在logo中突出了虎口——穿着中世纪厨师袖套的一双手指出虎口的位置。在菜单等衍生设计中我们也沿用“手”这一元素,与现代简洁的板式风格搭配,突出品牌融合传统与现代的特性。

Chefs are accustomed to tasting food on their purlicue ——the space between one's forefinger and thumb, on which they can sense the temperature of the food most accurately. In the meantime, when guests enjoy food, they also wrap knives, forks, or wine glasses in their purlicue. Therefore, this part of one's hand has become the most important part of the meal event.

We highlighted "purlicue" in the logo design - a pair of hands in a medieval chef's cuff points out where"purlicue" is. In derivative designs such as menus, we also use the element of "hand", which is matched with a modern and concise board style, highlighting the brand's characteristics of integrating traditional and modern.
